Materials: paper plate
- Armadillos live in Central and South America
- Armadillo means “little-armored one”
- They have bony plates on the outside of their body to protect them from predators
- Cut a paper plate in half
- Cut a curved edge at each corner
- Paint the paper plate brown
- Leave to dry
- Color the parts of the armadillo
- Cut out the parts of the armadillo
- Glue the head onto one end of the plate
- Glue the tail onto the opposite end
- Glue the feet onto the straight edge of the plate
- Glue the ears onto both sides of the head
Alternative Idea:
Instead of paint, you can color the plate using a brown crayon or marker.
